Dr. Carlson is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special
interest in modern cataract surgery
and subspecialty training in the medical and surgical treatment of
glaucoma.
He has performed over 7,000 intraocular surgeries since 1990,
including over 5,000 phacoemulsification cataract surgeries
using small incision, no shot, no stitch, and no patches since
1995. Dr. Carlson is a
glaucoma
subspecialist and performs
many different glaucoma laser and incision surgeries, including:
Argon Laser Trabeculoplasty (ALT), Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty
(SLT, cold laser), trabeculectomy, seton tube-shunt implants, and
diode laser cyclophotocoagulation (TDLC).
