MEDICAL EXAM
A medical exam is billed to medical insurance and is for patients with any eye disease or condition other than refractive errors. Common examples include cataracts, diabetic eye exams, age-related macular degeneration, flashes/floaters, double vision, and dry eye.
GLAUCOMA OR CORNEAL EVALUATION
To refer a patient for either glaucoma or a corneal disease (e.g., keratoconus, Fuchs' dystrophy, pterygium, history of cornea transplant, etc.), please collect and send copies of recent exam notes, visual fields, OCT images, and any other relevant documentation.

For *emergency or urgent referrals*, please do not follow the steps below. Instead, call our office immediately at 719-598-0752 to speak with a triage technician. They will assess the situation with one of our physicians and ensure the patient is scheduled appropriately based on the urgency of their condition.
