Dr. Pikkula is an optometrist, serving Colorado Springs since 2008, welcoming patients of all ages. She performs comprehensive eye examinations, specializing in the measuring and fitting of difficult spectacle lens (glasses) and contact lens (soft and RGP) prescriptions. These fits include high myopia/hyperopia, astigmatism (toric), keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, and presbyopic (multifocal) contact lenses. Her services also include screening and treatment for problems such as diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, allergies, dry eyes, infections, strabismus (lazy eye), amblyopia, red eyes, and eye injuries.

Saw Dr Pikkula for a Glaucoma Issue going wrong and damaging my Optic Nerve. Her Staff Debbie, Rachel and of course Dr Pikkula are the.most caring People I came across in my 2 1/2 years of this Issue going on on the Economy. Most of my Treatment was done at the AF Academy until my Doctor got me a referral to Dr Pikkula. Dr Pikkula is an awesome person and I love her upbeat personality just like her Staff. She walks into the room and talks me through everything before starting, and always is so kind. Everyone is very helpful and professional in the office which makes the entire visit a breeze!

The likelihood of me revisiting an eye doctor depends on the staff. An unfriendly doctor totally ruins an experience, but this eye doctor was friendly, yet professional. She provided good care, as well.

I always have a positive experience in this office and with Dr. Pikkula. The office is run efficiently, the staff are always friendly, and their new location is clean and beautiful. (What a view!) My eyes are unusually wonk so a bit of extra thinking and explaining is needed. The office staff is very efficient and briefed Dr. Pikkula before she popped in to see me. Excellent exam, great explanations of findings, and terrific discussion about what we should do and try next. Why don't I go visit them more often like I should? They make it easy enough that I should. Maybe we all should.

I have been a patient of Dr.Pikkula's for about 10 years. She and her staff are a caring, professional people. They are always nice, polite and really listen to me. I have keratoconus which requires special treatment. She takes the time to actually sit down and explain what she will be doing and answer any questions I have. For instance, I was at her office yesterday to get my new contact lenses. They fit great i could see better than before but... she said " we can do better". With a quick test with hand held lenses she was about to get my right eye to 20/20. 20/20 vision for me is tough to get. She will cover the new lense under warranty. I was very happy with the vision a had but she went the extra mile to ensure my right eye, the better of the 2, no hope for my left, was the best it can be. Thank you Dr. Pikkula. May God bless you.

Dr Pikkula is very thorough. She tested my eyes for any diabetes damage, for my reading and distance vision and for cataracts. They also checked my pressure. She found I was sleeping with my eyes partially open and needed an ointment to avoid further damage. I was very please with all of the tips she gave me and how concerned she was for the health of my eyes. I recommended my husband make an appointment and would recommend her to all my friends.
