Dr. Tyler Quist is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma. He has expertise in both traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. He also enjoys providing comprehensive eye care and performing both routine and complex cataract surgery.
He attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering. He received is medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for his outstanding academic performance. He was blessed to spend the next five years of his life at the University of Iowa Hospitals and clinics, where he completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training. During this time, he was awarded the Medical Student Teacher of The Year and authored many peer-reviewed research publications.
Dr. Quist is married to his better half and wonderful wife, Kaitlin. Together, they have 5 children, including two sets of twins! He is a family man who loves spending time with his kids and is actively involved in his church. As a passionate wildlife artist, he enjoys sketching upland game birds, waterfowl, and western wildlife. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves to bow hunt, fly-fish, and to spend all of his free time in the mountains!

I can't even to begin to convey my gratefullness for what Dr Quist has done for my quality of life. I have been wearing glasses since I was 3 years old. Back then science for eye prescriptions weren't the best. Fast forward to 65 years old and I've been wearing contacts with glasses until I got cataracts. He removed the cataracts and placed lenses within my eyes enabling for me to see clearly!!! For the first time in my life I can see when I wake up! He understood my extreme anxiety to have the eye surgery being that I've always been protective of my eyes. He walked me through it and when I had questions that were very important to me he and his staff gave me the answers before and after surgery. He's a wonderful and kind human being that I trust 100%!!! I feel so fortunate to have him as my eye doctor and surgeon! He is quite simply wonderful!

Back in May, I had an emergency but did not have an ophthalmologist. Dr Quist's office fit me in.
I had a detached retina and since it was now after hours, he personally contacted the specialist and got me in for surgery early the next morning.
It's been a long haul and he recently performed my cataract surgery.
There was a worrying issue, but went back in and he assumed correctly what the issue might be.
Dr Quist just IS personable, caring, and available; attributes sorely missing in much of our health care system today.

I had some metal or flux sprayed in one eye that began swelling after a couple days. Dr. Quist was seeing me as a new patient for the first time and thoroughly examined every aspect of both eyes. Less than 2 hours ago, my Son was seen by Dr Quist. It was Such a Wonderful Experience that I wanted to comment about it right away. My Son needed to be seen today because of a Very Severe Injury that he sustained to his eye in 2018. This injury has unfortunately left my Son permanently blind in his right eye. And even though this horrible injury happened years ago, it’s something that I still struggle with and is something that still makes me cry. This is a wonderful office. Friendly and efficient staff. Dr Quist and his assistants were great. They were patient with my mom who is 80 and can't hear well. Helped us understand what was going on with her eyes. They took their time with us. Never felt rushed. Really appreciated the care.

Dr Quist and staff are awesome! Friendly and knowledgeable with great care for a very nervous patient. I was referred to the Eye Institue after going to Vision Works in Aug 22. They told me a needed medications from my doctor. My Primary care did not find a reason for extra medications. I requested another referal, Eye Associates was great. I am so relieved, I just have different shapped eyes. I will be going to Eye Associates in the future.

Quiet for 1st time today, and it was a phenomenal visit. He was extremely knowledgeable, very direct, very easy to understand, extremely thorough. I was very thankful as Dr Carlson was out ill today that I was able to be with Dr Quist. He did great thank you so much

The staff was friendly and it showed that they new their stuff. Dr. Quist listened to what I had to say and made me feel at ease. He explained all the findings of the diagnostics done. The practice was well run, helpful, pleasant, provided refreshments, and the waits were not prolonged. Dr. Quist was very pleasant to us and to the staff. He explained what was going to happen and the results very well. It's rare that I visit anywhere without having any complaints, but this was one.
